After the Knicks failed to match the offer sheet from the Houston Rockets to keep Jeremy Lin in the faithful Orange and Blue, hosted the return of Raymond Felton to the Garden. Jeremy was introduced as a member of the Houston Rocket yesterday, and Raymond spoke on the situation while at the Summer League game in Las, Vegas.
"I wish him the best of luck", Felton said. "I'm not here to get into, if he was getting too much money. I hear a lot of people are saying this and saying that. I feel like if you can go get the money, go get it. So I'm not going to be the one who says that. But at the same time, I'm a competitor. I'm a point guard just like he is. So do I think I'm better? Of course I'm going to say that. I think I'm better than any point guard. There's nothing personal between me and Jeremy. I know everybody is going to try to make it that way, and if it ends up being that way, then so be it. I'll be ready for the challenge."
When I heard that I immediately said my Knicks will be good. Felton had some of his best basketball in New York. Some will say it was because of the D'Antoni system. I would say it was because the stage is so much bigger in New York, The fans make you go out there and play with your heart outside of your body and expect greatness even then.
Raymond goes to to say he was very impressed with the play of Jeremy Lin last season, but he is a Rocket now and wants to move on from those questions. Felton also stated that he would have still been a Knick even if they did match the offer to keep Lin in New York.
Knick fans are you content with Raymond Felton running the point again ?
