LAWSUIT!!!!!....WOMANS FACE SMASHED BY LITTLE LEAGUE HERCULES PITCH......

When this story first hit the airwaves over two years ago, the young man involved was 11yrs old and being hit with a law-suit totaling $150,000 for the estimated cost of the medical bills, pain and suffering of one Mr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Lloyd. As if it wasn't hard enough on an 11yr old playing sports and not being able to master his latest GAMESTOP or GAMEFLY purchase, a little league groupie cougar smacks the kid

THE PLACE: Manchester Little League Park in Manchester Township, New Jersey.
THE VICTIM: Mrs. Elizabeth Lloyd
THE ASSAILANT: Matthew "Golden Arm" Migliaccio
THE DETAILS: Mrs. Lloyd was sitting at a picnic table near the fenced-in bullpen at the Manchester Little League park when she was hit by an herculean throw from catcher 11yr old Matthew Migliaccio."I ran over to see if she was all right," Migliaccio, who is now 13, told the Asbury Park Press. "She said she was OK. I was just on with warming the pitcher up, and I was not horsing around."............. Sounds like the words of a pretty decent/innocent 11yr old child if you ask me.

THE LEECH: Mr. Lloyd..... Elizabeth's husband who is also suing for the loss of “services, society, and consortium” of his wife. Their claim is that Matthew’s errant throw was intentional and reckless, “assaulted and battered” Lloyd, and caused “severe, painful, and permanent” injuries.

THE LEGAL PARTICULARS: Little League insurance covers injuries to players and coaches, but not spectators, so the Migliaccio family is on its own on this one. If the case goes to trial, Matthew’s family expects it to cost tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees to defend themselves in court.

FAST FORWARD ................. TO THE PRESENT
Mrs. Lloyd has had reconstructive surgery and reportedly suffers from migraine headaches. So the once $150,000 lawsuit is rolling in at a cool half of million dollars ($500,000 big ones!!!)
Anthony Pagano, a lawyer for Migliaccio and his family, says the lawsuit is "frivolous" and "disgusting." Bob Migliaccio, Matthew's father, told the Asbury Park newspaper that he thought the Manchester Little League or Little League International would assist the family after the incident.
"I want to be clear: The litigation does not shock me. People sue people every day," Bob Migliaccio told the Press. "What I was surprised about was the lack of answers and support from Little League. I cannot believe that they would not help out in this issue."

Lloyd's lawyer could not be reached.

  1. Smh that's so terrible. Anything for some cash. She needs to suck it up and move on. He shouldn't have to pay for her to get a nose job. Something she probably wanted for a long time.
