LAST WEEKS POWER RANKINGS ENDED AS SUCH #1) MIAMI HEAT, #2) OKC THUNDER, #3)CHICAGO BULLS, #4) S.A. SPURS, #5) L.A. CLIPPERS, #6) HOUSTON, #7) PORTLAND,
#8) L.A. LAKERS, #9) ATLANTA HAWKS, #10) DALLAS MAVERICKS. So this weeks POWER RANKINGS BEGIN AS SUCH:
#1) We have a tie OKC & MIAMI (OKC has the best record in the league and are on an impressive 5 game win streak with 2 recent wins over play-off contenders, while Miami has the 2nd best record, but hasn't played since the win over a re-organized NYK squad).......... This fight for 1st place is getting very interesting............
#3) CHICAGO BULLS (the leagues 3rd best record and a 4 game win streak has the Bulls quickly gaining on the THUNDER & HEAT for the NUMBER ONE SPOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!! LUDA)
#4) SPURS (struggling to stay in 4th place as they loss without Ginobli against a Bulls team whom are back at full strength with D. Rose back on deck.)
#5) L.A. CLIPPERS (maintaining this spot with luck due to Houston losing to Utah by 21pts)
#6) L.A. LAKERS (after going 3-1 against above .500 teams the Lakers jump up 2 slots when you add the fact that Houston lost to a sub .500 Utah team and Portland losing to a Nuggets team who's fighting day in and day out to stay above .500)
#7) HOUSTON (headed in the wrong direction, the Rockets have Denver up next and may actually end up opening the door for Denver to be a new addition to the TST POWER RANKINGS this week.)
#8) INDIANA (Leaping into the PR this week on an expected 5 game winning streak because all of the teams are sub .500 teams. So this may be a short-lived PR visit as they go on a 9 game trip against teams that are all above .500)
#9) ATLANTA (after defeating the Magic, the Hawks lose a close one to the GSW 85-82 and are barely holding on to their #9 postion)
#10) MEMPHIS (after winning 7 of their last 10 including wins over the 76ers, DENVER , HOUSTON and DALLAS....... The Grizzlies find their way into the PR this week as Dallas and Portland have fallen off the list)
*******POWER RANKING NOTES: Orlando is trying to make a push to get in. But Orlando has OKC next, and constantly struggles aganst sub .500 teams this year.) Portland and the 76ers both will try to get on the PR and stay their. But they both struggle against the teams above .500 and it's not the top tier teams, so we'll continue to keep an eye on them through the peep hole as they knock on the door.
