Johnson's billionaire bidding group was one of the last three remaining to acquire the L.A. Dodgers from Mr. Frank McCourt. And the Johnson bidding group pulled it out for approximately $1.8-2 billion dollars yesterday evening. The other partners in the Johnson bidding group are..... former Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals President Stan Kasten, CEO of Guggenheim Partners.
McCourt purchased the Dodgers for $430 million in 2004 and the team went bankrupt under his watch. Accruing a debt of $579 million as reported by the AP in January. The sale is still set to be approved in federal bankruptcy court.......
