CHAPTER TWO: TIME TO QUIT........ WHICH PAGE ARE YOU READING?

Well we've watced the tale of two greats unfold after the limelight for us, and both of them have had questionable success......

Although his Charlotte Bobcats are the worse NBA team to walk out on a court this year, Michael Jordan has somehow kept game attendance increasing every year since he acquired the team.
But this may be the last year for that journey if he can't put a winning team out on the floor. Fans are fickle, but for some reason they continue to support the Pussycats. Maybe it's to see the legend in his darkest moment or maybe they see the "hidden strategy" unraveling.... if it's the latter, I wish someone would drop a line to TST or WPBRADIO so we can help the people understand the method to this madness.

Because in other circles, people want Jordans head on a pointed post. We understand his competitive nature, but he's never been a loser. So he doesn't know what that feels like. And in this case, he's a certified loser......... But for some reason he won't take off the crown and relinquish the throne.

BUT ONE MAN WILL........................... LARRY "LEGEND" BIRD

For some unknown reason (maybe it's because only he and Mr. M.I. can see that his team truly sucks).... And although they're headed for there 2nd straight playoff appearance with Mr. Larry "Legend: Bird as President, the teams attendance is 2nd to the lowest in the NBA. People always forget that it's a business packaged as a game, and the business side has been "tanking" ever since the Pacers/Detroit Pistons brawl in 2004, which somewhat alienate the team's fan base so much that it hasn't really warmed up to the Pacers since............. I guess you never bite the hand that feeds you.

Now, as a replacement, the Pacers are trying to either tie down Chris Mullins or Reggie Miller as a replacement for Bird to hopefully pull back some of their fan base. Professional insiders believe the idea sucks, but if MJ's name can keep seats filled with the worse team in the NBA..... Then Reg or Chris should be able to pack the house with an Eastern Conference contender. Although they don't have a snowballs chance in hell to get past the Semi's.
