This action by D'Antoni has caught the attention of former NBA and Knicks player Stephon Marbury. He knows Mike D'Antoni very well. He played under D'Antoni in Phoenix with the Suns and in New York before being sent to Boston, due to their relationship turned bad.
Well Stephon (starbury) Marbury took to his Twitter to embrace the world again for his dislike for the coach again. This is not the 1st time talking about his dislike for D'Antoni. During his run in New York Stephon expressed how the coach refused to utilize him to his full potential in his system. Marbury believes that under D'Antoni, Carmelo Anthony was not being fully used to his potential either. The crazy thing is Marbury has fallen off the face of the earth since leaving Boston in 2009, after going viral on YouTube where he was eating Vaseline and singing gospel songs. Some of us who are true sports fans may have seen him recently in China when J.R. Smith was trying to come back to the NBA after the lock out was ended. This was because his last game in China he lit Starbury up for 40 points.
He responded to one of his followers who asked him his thoughts on Jeremy Lin, where he said, "Jlin is covered by the blood of Christ. He's protected from the non believers in New York." He also gloats saying he basically told us about D'Antoni, but we as fans did not agree with him or neither did Knicks owner James Dolan.
He also goes on to call D'Antoni a coward along with defending himself to the people in New York who was too naive to understand he was the killer of the Knicks.
Do you think Stephon has the right to talk about a man who yes did get him out of the league, but he is looked as if he also gave up ?
