If you ask me, the New York Knicks have an issue bigger than Carmelo and Amare's ability to work as a formidable tandem and the Miami Heat pressure shifting to the Knicks or whether or not the Thunder will pull it off next year. They are about 95% sure they'll lose Jeremy Lin. The man whom single-handily kept them in the play-off race last season. Unfortunately injuries plagued the team and they were ousted immediately, but the chance to compete would not have been possible if it weren't for this maniac.

Mr. Lin is getting serious interest from Toronto, Dallas and neighboring Brooklyn whom obviously will be doing there best to acquire talent and infiltrate a nice percentage of that NY fan base that the Knicks really haven't had to share (the Nets were never a serious threat). If one of these teams are prepared to offer Lin a back-loaded contract guaranteeing an 8-figure salary after two years the Knicks WILL lose Lin. The Knicks can offer up to a 4yr/$24.5 million dollar contract, where other teams may go as high as 4yr/$40 million with $5mil the first two years and $15 million the last two years.
I personally believe Lin is a committed guy to his craft and will do everything to improve and alter his game to be a success with his team. The Knicks must find a way to retain his services. And unfortunately if they give too much attention to this possible Steve Nash acquisition and a hot offer comes through for Jeremy. They may miss out. Because anyone with any type of common sense knows Nash has NO INTEREST in playing with Carmelo Anthony.
