1ST GOLD FOR WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS TEAM SINCE 1996

Before I go on any further I want to say congratulations ladies for all your hard work.

The USA women's Gymnastic team grabbed the Olympic gold medal, before they even stepped on the floor. It was already in the bag, just up to the women to handle their business on the floor.

The Americans lived up to their considerable hype and then some Tuesday night. The beat Russia and any other competition that stood in their way, helping bring home the gold again. USA women have not touched gold in gymnastics since 1996. They ended with a score of 183.569 which was 5 points ahead of Russia. That 96' team had Amanda Borden, Amy Chow, Dominique Dawes, Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu, Jayce Phelps and Kerri Strug. Which was a dynamic team also.

America stood at the center clapping, cheering and basking in the glory of the Olympic gold. When the scores came out the arena erupted chanting "U-S-A, U-S-A".
