MADDEN CURSE IS SILLY

Madden 2013 is on it's way to a shelf near you, and the winner was Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions. John Madden himself went to the Lions training camp to congratulate Detroit receiver Calvin Johnson.

Madden was asked about the Madden curse that is supposed to linger over any athlete that appears on the cover. "I was on the cover for many years, and I never pulled a hamstring, " Madden stated. "I've heard the rumors but it is quite silly that people would think that", "This is a violent sport. Injuries will happen", Madden  expressed when asked about the curse.

Madden added that if anyone would be able to overcome the curse it would be Megatron. "He might be a close to the indestructible as we've ever had on the cover", Madden said of Calvin. If the players believed the curse they wouldn't want to be on the cover.
